The SMX-7200 is a double-slot, high-density PXIe microwave carrier that supports a wide range of microwave switch building blocks. These Building blocks range from dual SPDT relays to SP6T relays and transfer switches. The carrier can accommodate up to three miniature 26.5 GHz microwave relays. Each microwave switch is “pluggable” from the front allowing for easy configuration and maintenance. The carrier can also functions as a relay driver for controlling external microwave relays that exceed available space in the PXIe mainframe. Each carrier allows for 6 control lines compatible with 24V logic.
The SMX-7200 can be mixed and matched with other SMX or EX1200 modules to configure high-density switching solutions. Competitively priced, the SMX-7xxx series can reduce the cost of microwave switching by at least 20% from existing solutions and satisfy lower frequency cellular switching market needs.
